What clamps for a vinyl background roll on a stand

Hi,

I'm using a Bessel reversible high key / low key background 2m wide x 4m long on a 2 metre aluminium core on a heavy duty background stand.

Even when unrolled for the shoot, the vinyl is heavy enough for it to unroll itself.

I'm currently using a g-clamp to secure this but given I normnally use it on my car it looks a tad unprofessional.

I'm sure this is a common issue so am wondering what people are using - advice appreciated

LOL - Do these open wide enough to get round the roll and the vinyl still left on it?

Thanks for this Tom. I'll measure up the width of the roll core. I'm assuming these dont damage the vinyl?

You don't need to clamp around the whole tube roll, just the end section - so I suspect it is about 15mm tops when rolled and less when unrolled.

I had some of the £shop ones and to be honest they are garbage. Very cheap obviously and it shows. Had two of them just self distruct.
