Looking for a new DSLR body after accidentally killing my 100d Body. Dropped it and it’s basically shattered and won’t turn on.
I got the 100d as I wanted to get back to photography after selling my 200d to fund a new Mountain bike in 2021 and came to regret it 12 months later. So picked up a 100d going cheap. And bought all my old lens Combos also.

Now that I have a bit of cash I’m looking a more modern body. Don’t want to go Mirrorless for a while so I’m looking at the following
250D
80D
77D
Unfortunately can’t quite Stretch to a 90d yet.
Budget 400 to 500
My Current lenses are the all STM trio of
18-135mm
55-250mm
10-18mm
50mm
Mainly using it for Landscape photography and Civil Aviation photography at Manchester Airport with the occasional videos. But mostly use my IPhone for video

Marc, being honest the only reasons to stick with DSLR's and not go mirrorless are using your existing lenses and possibly the cost of changing systems but the cost could be open to question if you look at the cheaper end of the used mirrorless market. I was staggered when I looked at the price of a used 90D and even the 80D surprised me. Instead of going for a Canon APS-C DSLR like the 80D you may be able to go for a mirrorless Micro Four Thirds and keep the cost competitive and likely equal or exceed older generation APS-C image quality although changing systems would involve selling your existing lenses and going for a MFT three or 4 lens set up.

I know this probably isn't going to be the way you end up going so good luck choosing.

If you are prepared to save and wait you can get a good deal on the Canon R10 from Cotswold cameras.
I bought one along with a couple of RF lenses.
I wanted a lens that's better in low light so I bought a used Canon EF-S 17-55 2.8 and the Canon adapter.
If you wanted to continue using your existing lenses the genuine Canon adapter is £100 but you can get cheap 3rd party ones.
Honestly once you look at new mirrorless kit it's come a very long way you won't want to go back to a standard DSLR.

If you have a budget of £ 500 and have EF-S lenses, then either a 80D or a 7D Mark II. Put the 100D on ebay as spares or repairs.

otherwise you have to switch lenses to move into a full frame camera system, or spend more than your budget to get a mirrorless version.

80D. The EOS #0D emerged from its dark phase (EOS 60D and 70D) where the models were considered more 'amateurish' compared with the 7D, the 80D restored the series to enthusiast level but the 90D become the 7D2 replacement, If you get an 80D you'll have a camera that should last you a while.

My OH had a 50D which was an excellent camera, the 60D seemed like such a step down, as was the 70D not helped out in that they had the same sensor as the 7D which was poor in low light?

Still can’t decide. If I wait a few more months I can afford the R10 plus adaptor which I assume is compatible with EF -S lenses? Suppose it will be more future proof.

The adaptor allows you to use EF and EF-S lenses.
Some of the older EF / S lenses are reasonably priced which is a bonus.
