O.k you have probably already guessed it ! I decided this morning to take the top of the range camera out, As I hadn't used it for a good while I thought I would consult the manual on how to set the format as this camera has a few bits missing and I cocked it up first time round. I found the manual and read one of the sections which basically said enjoy the light leaks or tape it up ! Great what other top of the range camera would give you such detail in the Manual ?

Here's the manual Top of the range

Reading the manual it sounds like a design feature rather than a bug, I guess that’s kind of what a Holga is all about isn’t it? :D

Pro tip: Do not use transparent sellotape.
And if it’s using colour film, red tape is best. Otherwise for b&w, either white or black.

The Agfa Karat system used 35mm film and made 24 x 24 images. It was clever, because the film wasn't wound onto a take-up spool and then back into the cassette - it was loosely spooled inside one Karat cassette and passed into another on the other side - no rewinding.

When it was revived as Agfa Rapid, the company made demo cameras with a transparent perspex back, so that camera shops could demonstrate how it worked with dummy film. One shop accidentally sold the demonstator with the see-through back, to the great amusment of the people in the photo-finishing lab where I had my first holiday job :)
