Hello, I've doing a project on intereriors and people and love the books Byker and Byker Revisited, by Sirkka-Liisa Kontinnen.

Not much on her on the internet, and she's elusive, all I know is she was part of Amber Online. Would love to know more about what cameras she used and how she took her portraits.

Does anyone know or know how I can find out?

Never heard of then but I'm going to have to look them up :)

Wanting to know how she took her photos is fair enough, but does it really matter what camera she used? :)

Hi

Thanks so much for the link, really appreciate it. As for caring about what camera she used, I was curious to find out if she used a 35mm or a medium format camera, as the detail was so good in her photos.

I held a Pentax 67 but boy does it clack when you take the picture! I'd love to know if Sirrka used a tripod for her shots or if she handheld. To be honest I'd just love to meet her full stop and find out more about her, she's such an inspiration. I love her photos, every single one of them and I have all her books.

Any ideas on if she ever pops out in public to talk?

Best

H

I don't know about this photographer but the 6x7 is apparently best used with mirror lock up AND a sturdy tripod, or else the mirror slap simply destroys your photo.
