Yes
Right what are you views on air brushing models in photoshop, would you prefer a model with clear skin and only having to do the odd little touch up here and there in photoshop or having a model with normal skin (Blemishes etc..) and having to do a whole range of work in photoshop?

Just wondering as i have strong views about it, basically in the magazines etc.. nearly all of them have been airbrushed, and im not one for fake models :|

i think as long as it looks authentic it doesnt matter, i think its about the photographers skills and his ability to produce an aesthetically pleasing end result that matters. :)

look through Nuts/Zoo and they must spend about 3 hours just on one pic on the main model features.

no marks, no moles, perfect make up, perfect tan

yes it looks good, but is also 100% fake.

i dont mind a few touch ups to make the photo's better, but too much just turns the pic into "art" rather than a photo..

That's kind of what i was trying to say!

If you see a candid of these famous models / actresses after a night out then they frequently look no better than the girl next door.

Imperfections are what make the real beauty of a woman stand out, well for me anyway.
The old saying "beauty is only skin deep" needs updating to "beauty is only another layer in photoshop".

it's all just one big beautiful illusion, nothing wrong with that, just so long as people never forget it's faux. i like it for glamour work, and maybe a bit just to make things a touch more pretty in candid/natural shots.

PsiFox, love that quote that's totally true

Would be interesting to see some of these Zoo and Nuts pics as they came out of the camera!
Being an oldie who always worked on film and a Canon AE1 there was little choice but to get it right on the camera.

yes it would be interesting to see, i do believe there was a documentary on tv not long ago where they showed you the original photo then when they had airbrushed it all. but i fell asleep so i cant remember what it was called :)

zoo/nuts,all of them! there images almost don't look real.there is a skill to this form of editing and although it looks overdone on most occasions its what your everyday person is wanting to see....perfect skin, tan, bodies.

Moderation is OK. I like to produce a 'clean' image but if someone wants warts and all - they can have it;):D

And never ever air brush a photo of your wife:nono:

Take that from experience as she is already perfect.
