Yes
they're not really up to anything, they probably sell a lot of those as value add ons at the point of sale of cameras so it helps them keep big ticket prices fairly competitive.

Why anyone would buy one at that price though is another matter

Someone who does not know any better ! Must happen or they would change it ... wouldn't they ?

Might just be old stock bought at a higher price.

Remember theres a huge difference in the sales model of Jessops compared to Amazon. Bit like Dixons/PC World compared to Dabs.com - prices vary wildly for some genuine reason like shop and staff costs, and not so valid reasons like higher margins, and lack of purchasing power when buying stock.

Somethings only worth what someone will pay ;)

I got the mymemory CF card for 17.99. Not as fast as those sandisks, but its still a good card for just over £20 delivered

theyre sold at that price to recoup some of the profit lost from selling cameras.

profit margins are so slim on cameras that a shop would probably have to close down if it didnt sell accessories.

I just bought a Sandisk Extreme III 2Gb for £71 delivered :D
