Hey guys, what good affordable cameras which is under 500€ will you suggest for someone who cant afford for an expensive one?

That will depend a lot on what you want to photograph, how easy it is to carry, overall versatility, etc. How about telling us more about what you need the camera for?

@Tillycp

Where are my manners.........welcome to TP :)

As Charles says above, please can to post with more context including about:-
  1. Your current camera?
  2. Your camera usage experience?
  3. What do you like to/want to photograph?

Please remember here at TP we are a community of mostly like minded photographers with all(most) photographic genre interests covered, including those that make their living from it.
Therefore any insights are just that 'insights' that will hopefully aid you in making a decision.

Oh, you say 500Euro's so maybe state what country you are based in because camera model numbers can vary by geographic region!

I use a Sony as do many people on here, be carful what you say
I'm after a modern Sony branded camera for comic cons next year (even though I normally hate Sony in general [... inappropriate content removed ...] but I am reliably informed that second hand modern cameras start at £60 from CEX, so I need to save at least another 40 quid.

You'd probably be better of with something like a Sony rx100 vII in all honesty. You find them on offer from time to time.

As above, and does this have to be new or are you willing to buy used?

Hey Tilly! I'd suggest learn the basics! REad some reviews on the Canon Digital Rebel, Rebel XT, Nikond D50... you can pick one up for under £50 at the most, plus a lens for a few $ more. No point going and throwing loads down on something you haven't a clue about. Learn the basics. that's what I did, those were my first digital cameras,

Something worth thinking about is what system a friend or relative has that will give you access to their gear. I was tempted to go with Fuji but my brother has shot Canon for years so I got a canon body and have access to all his lenses flashes macro tubes etc. When deciding it is always worth remembering that even the most basic interchangeable lens cameras today are easily as capable as the ones that took every iconic picture you can see in photography books.
