Well it's that beautiful time of year again, so has anyone been to Westonbirt or Stourhead yet?
If so, are the colours all out yet? I'm planning on heading there soon, but don't fancy turning up and it all being green!
Thanks in advance.

I believe there's a planned meet at Westonbirt soon.

havent heard that either, i am interested if there is a meet planned

Looking in the meeting area, it's a large format meet. Says others are welcome but will be a lot of standing around as it takes a while to take a photo on those cameras. I will be giving it a miss personally.

Always good to put faces to names and while it's undeniable that LF isn't as fast paced as digital (or even MF!), the amount of care taken in setting up etc before the shot is a skill worth using on all formats. Besides, I'm sure the people concerned won't be offended should you turn up, have a briefish chat then do your own things! (Although popping up in their shots too often would be a bit unkind!)

This is very true. I will check what I'm up to on the day in question and maybe I'll be able to get along for a while

I'll be at Stourhead next weekend with work... one of the few benefits of my job :D

Wisley yesterday (Not that autumnal there yet though...)

Hi guys, don't be put off by the fact that it's a large format meet, the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned, as Nod said it's great to put faces to names and we're all there for the same reason regardless at how we achieve it. We like to balance our film meets with a good combination of photography, banter and beer, it's a tried and trusted formula and has served us well.

So come along, everyone's welcome

And while we're talking Westonbirt, does anyone have any good locations to head for? There's a Westonbirt map here, so any recomendations would be really helpful.

I've been on Thursday and it was just right:

I got pretty muddy taking that :)

I am not sure if I will manage to go again tomorrow after Zombies today. I do however suspect that after sunday's and monday's rain it will be rather different.

We went this weekend and it was beautiful, did not see this thread and just posted about it. The little tree by the witches cottage is stunning.
