I've seen quite a few shots recently taken with a westcott zeppelin.
They're quite expensive and was wondering if anyone here uses one and what they think about them.
The light off them looks very nice.

I had one..

Pros: Great light
Cons: Expensive, difficult to put together, needs a special mount, simply huge, not really transportable, need a big studio to get best results, cheaper similar options available (No doubt someone will say no grid)

Sold mine and bought an SMDV pop up version which suits my needs much better.

I ordered one.
Olivier, my son, unpacked it.
We put it up, then down.
Was repacked and retuned within 30 minutes.
The darn thing can't support its own weight. Grrrr!

Did you use the dedicated bracket? Was it hard to assemble? What size did you get? Thanks
We wanted to use both speedlights and monoblocks for which we ordered the largest available size.
We got brackets for both systems. Assembly was not our problem but the strength of the fiberglass balens.
Very poor quality for the money… we stayed with Profoto.
