Westcott umbrella softboxes??

Very easy to erect, nice light, but very expensive for what is essentially a big umbrella :shake:

Slightly more than a big umbrella .... they do square boxes which are more efficient than normal softboxes - utilising the silver rear of the box to throw light forward.

Very quick to set up and ideal for using flash systems to get good results as used by Zack Arias

They're pretty good but the flash has to be put inside. Makes it a pain if you want to change the power.

I was struggling to sell them at £15

erk, so you are, I shall bring my business to you then sir :) I thought the ones you had were smaller ones for speedlights... :) will be in touch.

Iinside the softbox?

Get a 283 and a 283 sensor lead, as here:

www.hiviz.com/activities/guidebook/images/HSPEQP13.JPG

and run it to the outside of the box. That way, you don't have to rip open the Velcro front of the soft-box to just change the power level.

I'll be running either an SB800 or 900, I can't imagine it's gonna be that much hassle. I could be wrong, I'll let you know. :)

The more familier you get ... the quicker it will be

Zack Arias uses the 28" and 50" Wescott as well

I had a 28" version and loved it, waiting to pick one up again in the US later this year. Would love the 50" version to. The give lovely light and changing power is not an issue.
