To think i was going to buy a D60...

This is my first body. Paid £500 for it, really mint condition the only marks are a few light scratches on the protector screen. I bought this from a helpful local shop with 6 months garantee.
Although i cant buy a lens till next pay day, i am going to hire one from lensesforhire for a week as soon as they email me back.

The joys of new gear! :D

well i guess you have a box instead of a bag! nice purchase.

Don't you just hate impulse buying?! You're going to love it though and it should be well worth the extra. I have two :D

If you are married I wouldnt be telling the wife in a hurry. Then again she might notice as you'll be eating cabbage and beans for the next week

I can see the scene now..... "Yes dear it came free with the bag...... honest.... it did..... ouch!! sorry love ouch!!!!" Nice purchase BTW, Enjoy as I'm sure you will ;)

haha no i wont be having any problems with a wife.... at the age of 16 :D
I won't even have to hire a lens now, my uncle has said he can lend me some!

Congratulations Magnum ... ... a great buy and you'll absolutely love it ... :suspect: ... especially now you've got a lens to use ... :D

Now get out there and get snapping ...

:p

How much was you expecting to pay for the bag????? congrats. and well done on finding some lenses to borrow

No offense intended Mangnum, congrats on the new camera.

The bag was going to be for a camera, which i would have been buying next month. But i bought a better one now instead.

Response to foodpoison. Just so everyone doesnt think im spoilt, i DO have a job, 16 hour week on top of full time education, with a lot of overtime! Hence the £500 pay day. I've earnt this, what a great feeling. ;)

I'm getting ready to leave for my grandparents house now. My grandad has a few lenses from his D50 that i can borrow, and my uncle is letting me borrow one on Saturday.

I would have paid up to £80 for a bag. I'll get one at a later date.

Good choice mate, the D200 is a fantastic camera

For £80 you could get a small bag to start with (£20-30) which will still be handy later on when you dont want to be lugging tons of gear about, and then when you have a couple of lenses get a decent sized photo rucksack (£50-60) for proper all day excursions.

Impulse buying is just the best when you get it right! Which I reckon you have here.
You love your purchase even more. :D

Thats one expensive camera bag - now go enjoy, there are a lot worse things to spend £500 on at 16 ;)

Good for you, enjoy the new toy

Good to see you haven't got it from mugging grannies! It's good to remember there are some teenagers willing to get off their a*ses and get a job :)

Well done fella, great camera (i love mine!)...wish i had an uncle i could "borrow" lenses off though

My how that takes me back.

I was interested in photography at that age but it took me many years to get to the stage where I had the disposable income to indulge myself.

Well done on earning it yourself, now go and enjoy and don't forget to show us too :)

i've done stuff like that before! and i wish i had that sort of money when i was 16! i was only on £50 a week at the age!

Strange looking bag. Enjoy it though.

I only got £25.26 when I was 16, not fair. Then my parents used to take £12 a week of me for board!!!

My first pay packet contained £4.15.6d. £2 of that went to the parents for board and lodge. Photography was done with a box brownie.

My god ! I'm now feeling my age. :gag:

Nice impluse buy Magnum. Now get out there and use it.

Well done that man, hope you enjoy the new toy. You have worked hard for it, if I were you I would insure it, dont want to start saving all over again if theres an accident. Good luck and lets see the results soon.
