Hi folks

I have posted a similiar thread in "Birds" but the thing is...

I was out taking shots around Linlithgow Loch. Here is a selection.

1.

2.

Then I slipped on the ice with my 100-400 fully extended and my 7d. Lens cap was on a shade was in the un-used position. The next shots are taken, but I feel they just aren't sharp ( I have applied sharpening to them)

3.

4.

The next are taken out the back garded (admittingly not in good light)

5.

6.

Is it me, or have I done serious damage, it does auto focus and as always suggestion, criticisms are always welcome.

I think you need to give us the full info for each pic, ISO, f/stop, shutter etc.

The exposure looks out on most of them, but that could be you (no offence) not the lens.

Also looks like shutter speed was too slow mostly.

I'm sorry...but you're trying to compare apples and oranges. You have different lighting, different distances to the subjects, different focal lengths and different f/stops. To test your camera and/or lens for damage, you need to do some controlled studies. There's no way anyone on the internet can look at pics without data and give you an educated answer to your basic question.

It's not that we're not sympathetic...in fact we are. And we all hope neither you or your equipment were hurt in the fall!
