Erm... Hello. 
I'm Dave. I spend most of my life around the Cannock/Lichfield area. I'm one of these people who seems to take my camcorder everywhere, I film a lot of countryside/tractors etc that sort of thing. Over the last year i've found myself using the still photo option more and more on my camcorder. It takes reasonable pics... 14 megapixel, edge sharpening etc. all the gumpf that a decent camcorder offers. So.. with that in mind this year I decided to plump for a dslr, as I've kind of grown into photography. I bought a Canon 600D with the 18-135mm Kit lens and also plumped for the Sigma 50mm 1.4. Seems a nice camera, i've had a play with it... pretty much avoiding (as long as I can) the auto modes I've had mixed results. So... yeah... i thought i'd join a forum or two with people who are passionate about this artform to help me evolve my very limited knowledge, and after reading a few posts here and there, plumped on this one. I hope my little story didn't bore you too much.
