Happy to report excellent service from Vanguard UK. I have a year-old Vanguard PH-32 head and yesterday the safety-catch thumb lever (cast aluminium?) snapped clean off. Yesterday afternoon around 3pm I made a call to Vanguard UK and spoke to Sarah Bale who asked me to email her and said she'd get a new one in the post to me straight away; I did, attaching a photo of the broken item. I'm hoping it was just a one-off weak part.

Came home from work today and the replacement head is waiting for me. No quibbles, no messing. Excellent service and means their limited lifetime warranty actually means something.

I'll be buying Vanguard again.

Incidentally I also have a Vanguard Alta Pro 263AT and can recommend it. Takes my Sony A99 + Tammy 200-500mm no problem.

I've got an Alta Pro 263 with the SBH-100 ball head, and I like it a lot.

Your post warms the cockles of my heart - I like knowing that good gear is backed up with good service.

Ive got the a alta pro 263 tripod with AGH pistol grip and i really cant fault this tripod, its rock solid.
Im surprised that anything on these babies could break, they are like the tanks of tripods.
Again, nice to know they keep thier word and customer excellance going strong.
