Weird phone calls

Over the last week or so I have been getting incoming* calls on my mobile number from unknown numbers .. but every time I answer it just cuts off .. now I know the old scam of calling it back to connect to a high priced foreign number … do you think it could be that one again .. or has some large breasted blonde got my number

It's call centre employees paid by the call. As long as you answer, the call is recorded and they get paid.

Or it could be an autodial bot ringing multiple numbers and whoever picks up the call first gets the “sales representative”/“security advisor”/ scammer connected.

Yeah, autodialler, when it hangs up it's because there isn't anyone free to con you at the moment.
