Hello All

Hopefully someone can help me with this oddity. Taking photographs today of a thrush in my crab apple tree. My iso was 500, shooting in al servo at 5.6 and ap priority.. When reviewing the images later, the speed had changed from 1/100 right up to 1/3200 and these resulting images were very dark - but the continuing images following were fine . There were no great changes in the light or even my position. I really cannot understand what could have caused this sudden change in speed. I checked my camera settings and they were exactly as I had set them. Could this be a fault of some kind or have I done something. Totally baffled.

Many thanks.

Is it possible that you accidentally nudged the AE lock button when the lens happened to be pointing at a brighter background.....the EXIF of the underexposed shots should tell you Carole.

Hello Bob

Thanks for your answer . I do use back button focus so I may well have nudged this button. Was out again yesterday (same spot etc.) and it didnt happen again thankfully.
I did wonder if there was something wrong with my camera which, although new a year ago I have not had chance to get out and use due to circumstances so still learning this complex camera. Thanks once again for
your help/advice.
