Hello,

I thought I'd ask a quick question about film that is still available to buy.

Are there any that are particularly vibrant and are still available like AGFA Vista was or are there any techniques (i.e filters) etc for getting those results?

I want to shoot a project on film but I want that vibrancy without needing to post produce anything. You can still get Velvia 5x4 film perhaps that's an option?

Thanks in advance!

You can still buy Velvia in 35mm or 120 as well. Overall, slide film like Velvia is probably your best option if you want vibrant colours.

Ectar can also be pretty vibrant too, though is a negative film so would require more work to see the results. I haven't had great results scanning Velvia at home (35mm and 120, always seems to be lacking the punch of the original slides) but if you're looking at using 5x4 you could get it drum-scanned by whoever develops it, assuming you're not doing it yourself.

And a polarising filter will increase colour saturation.
