Yes
We attended a friends wedding on sat, I was the unofficial guest photographer and the wife was a bridesmaid.

I was expecting some trouble from the pro tog but he was great, very friendly and chatty, asking me to get certain shots for him etc.

The issue was the venue. The wedding planner there decided to go on holiday meaning no one left behind, not even her assistants had a clue what was going on.

We had a room paid for by the brides mum as we did the same for them. We were told we were staying down the road at their lodge, and we would just have to pick a room when we got there. Basically it's a 4 bedroom house 1/2 a mile away. They would put transport on for us no matter the time and bring us back in the morning. Brides mum complained and got us a room in the hotel. Brides brother and his wife weren't even allocated a room and it took 40 minutes to get one.

2 people that were given a lodge room had issues, one young couple found a stranger lying on their bed and another guy couldn't get the lift he was promised and had to sleep on his mums floor in the hotel.

They had no idea who was eating what because they had lost the both lists, the 2nd one only being given the day before. They put an old couple that weren't there for the wedding above the dance area and then had the DJ turn it down due to complaints.

They kept bothering the bride all day with random questions they should of known. This isn't the worst part either.

The bride and grooms mum went to complain on Monday, got the couple a free weekend at one of their spa hotels in Cardiff. However, they were given coffee's while they waited and they didn't taste right. Grooms mum pushed hers a way and the bride's mum necked hers. They said it was foul and the manager got really snotty with them and asked them to leave.

As they were standing outsite the manager came running out and confessed that the coffee they had been given also had coffee machine cleaner in it and they should seek immediate medical treatment. They are both fine.

Anyone else have any crazy wedding stories they feel like sharing?

I would be writing a very strong letter to the MD of the company asking for a full refund as the product was not as avertised. Mention watchdog, the coffee machine cleaner, strangers in the room and it should be acheived, or at least a hefty refund.

The sad part is you only get one wedding day, and no amount of cash can replace it. If the memories are ruined.......

My wedding day was....everything I could have at the time. I was pretty unwell and other family members were very poorly too. Chronic conditions, not like flu or something. I didn't want a photographer because I didn't want to remember the wheelchair or crutches. The plan was to do it all how we wanted, when I was better, but getting better never happened.

Last year, we decided to have the wedding we wanted anyway. It didn't matter that I wasn't well. We did it all on a shoestring budget, but it was fantastic. I admit that I did my health no favours and for 5 weeks afterwards, I was really bad....but it was worth it.

The disaster though, was that my sister in law, deliberately bought a dress that matched the bridesmaids dresses! (2 of her daughters were bridesmaids so she knew what they were like.) Vindictive cow. It was all ok in the end...when someone genuinely asked her when her baby was due...she wasn't pregnant and hadn't been for almost 14 years!!
