I don't do weddings but I need to know about signing boards. Are they just a large mount with a small print in the centre or are they some kind of special mount board. Also, what do guests use to write on them, pencil, biro, felt tip?

What is the usual size 20 x 16?

Normal mount just larger. Always recommend pencil as it can be erased!

cheers

Where would you order these from? Getting them printed in the middle means it's a bit more specialised I presume?

Go to your local market where there's a framer - best range and value. All the major labs offer these but its pricy

You (or the client) can pick up a nice frame from £10 at such as Wilkos, or they could have one specially made for £100 - its up to them for me. I just provide the mount and photo. That said, I very rarely do this as I don't do engagement shoots unless forced lol

If forced, then I usually provide a 20x16 mount with a 10x8 print aperture

I do ALWAYS tell the B&G that, as with Guests Signature albums too, that they give their chief bridesmaid the task of ensuring she goes around the tables during reception to get guests to sign them, there's nothing worse than seeing one at the end of the night with only 3 messages on them and someone having drawn a cock in the corner too - seen that :D

We sell lots of them all over the UK.
The ones we do are 20x16 Frames with mount and a 5x7 aperture cut out the centre,
plus if the customer sends us a picture we print it and place it in the signing board for them.
We supply acrylic glazing which is placed over the mount after the wedding/occasion. They aren't expensive either at £21.95
