In june we are going to a wedding in chamonix i want a lens for both the wedding and the spectacular scenary, the lens i was thinking about was the tamron 17-50 f2.8 is this lens sufficient for both or do i need something else my equipment is gripped nikon d90
,nikon 18-55
,nikon 50 f1.8
& sigma 55-200
I am coming to the UK early March & hopefully buying whilst there also i am going to buy a nissin di622 mk2 flashgun. As this is a family wedding the photos are for sentimental purposes as iam not anyway near proficient, only a starting out amatuer with no expectaions of being anything else.

I shoot most of most Weddings on my 17-55 f2.8 if that helps :)

Its a brilliant focal range, which you already seem to have in your 18-55 ???

So unless you're expecting to be shooting somewhere dark I wouldn't bother to buy another of the same focal range, unless of course you're selling the 18-55 ???

EDIT - and yes its my most useful Landscape lens too :)

thanks for the reply as i don´t know the the location of the receiption i have no idea of the lighting conditions i didn´t think the 18-55 would work that is why i thought an f2.8 would be better.
