A friend at work is getting married and has an invite card he has taken a picture of. He said it looks rubbish and has asked me to take the picture for him (of the card) but he never quite stipulated what the intentions were for, emailing them to save money I'm guessing. However, unless he tells me any different I have taken on this task and currently awaiting for the card to arrive.
Any tips or suggestions on taking this picture to make him go "wow that looks brilliant". I have two elinchrom d-lite 4's at home with my built in canon 550d flash. I have a cine film projector screen which I have been using to do some white backgrounds.
My initial thoughts are to adopt a black background as I'm assuming the card will probably be white. Any tips, suggestions welcome, surface material etc. I'm beginning to wish I had of purchased the small light set up they use to sell eBay products now as that would have come in handy but oh well !
