Hello
Well this is my first help post on the forum, and no doubt many more to follow :D
I have bought the 16-85mm dx Nikon lens, reviews looked good on it and thought Id give it a go! Generally bought it to do my parents 30th wedding anniversary they have organised at Newbury races! There will be between 30-50 family and friends in a private box/room for the day! From the website and pictures I have found the rooms look very well lit up! I am trying to produce the best of pictures possible with the equipment I have as they have asked me to do the occasion!
my general aim is that I can give my parents the photos of the day as a memento of the occasion and others if wanted!

Cameras available are Nikon D5200 dx and the Nikon D90

lenses available
35mm 1.8G prime
18-55mm Nikon
70-300mm 5-5.6 Nikon
16-85mm 5-5.6 G Nikon

I am all ears on any tips, info that could help me in any way possible!

Hi

I am not an expert and have not been to the hall but looking at you kit I would say use the D90 with the 35mm when light is low other use you new lens.

If you can borrow for a flash try and get that in case you need one.

If you can get to the event beforehand to take a few light readings and test shots do so.

Cheers for the replies!
Will be investing in a flash for the day.
We are all arriving by coach, would you suggest popping up before the event date and having a few shots and light readings before the day to go by?

Thanks Andy

I would suggest you do, you'll be busy enough on the day and having a bit of confidence before you start is useful .
