I am not very good at writing text on a website and was wondering - does everyone write their own text for their pages or do you use someone.

If you have used someone and found they were good, would you care to share?

Appreciate any recommendations.

Saw this post so went to look at your wedding site and the text seemed pretty good to me, and personal which I think is an asset. So I think you're more than capable. Always get somebody to proof-read it though. I could have rewritten "Someday, when you look back with your own children, and they won’t remember anything you told them about your wedding." as "Someday, you may look back with your own children, and they won’t remember anything you told them about your wedding." It's just an instance of grammar and clarity, the flavour's fine.

Thanks for that tip - I feel that looking at the site so many times makes me just want to change everything. And, the other thing I suffer from, which is not unique, I can't talk about myself too much but helping others I find easy!

Don't worry too much about that, most photographers believe that customers want to know all about them, it's nonsense.

Put yourself in the customers shoes, pretend you're buying a computer, would you buy from the guy who was taught to build PCs at his grandads side and has a real passion for it, or from the site that offered a great machine capable of looking after itself and impressing your mates at a great price?

Is that a trick question? I seriously don't know the answer to that! Lol!

I'd buy the shoes in the shop next door. ;)
Hopefully you'd buy the shoes you liked, not the ones made by the guy who 'loves his wife and kids and has a real passion for shoemaking'
