Website Redirects, how long to setup?

I have just upgraded my site to SSL as I now require customers to have accounts, and to keep things on the SSL site I setup a redirect as instructed by my host - but it still doesn't work after 24hours, the site just times out and nothing loads, I can't even directly access with the https url. I removed the redirect this morning and it was all back to normal within minutes? What gives?



Just tried setting it up again as above, and now I get the error Too Many Redirects!
