Hi there,
I'm new to talk photography. Currently my portfolio is hosted using 500px on my own domain www.nicolacane.com
I am looking to change it and also to sell some photos (not the ones currently on my site). I am after an ecommerce solution as well as something that i can host my portfolio.
For work that has been requested by clients I would like the abiity to host a private online gallery that is password protected.
Any advice you guys can give will be greatly received.
Thanks
Nicola

Try Smugmug. I've had some terrific sales success with my site. It does everything you mention above.

Thanks, I have just looked at zenfolio, smugmug, bludomain, photoshelter and am bit confused. Mainly cos i need to decide whether it is better to have an all in one package and just deal with the fact that they take a cut of the money, albeit small.

Or just get a hosting solution and work out how to sort the ecommerce side given each sale will need to be tailored due to licensing anyway.

Hi Nicola..I'm trialing a site by LayerSpace, offers all your asking, I'm currently on the basic account with Zenfolio but do like the clean, minimal, fast interface offered by LayerSpace..worth checking out (my own domain www.robinchun.com points to the site)
