Right, its about time I updated my website, only one problem...

I did not build the current one myself, and the guy that did it for me is nowhere to be found. I've got dreamweaver, but I can't understand it.

Is there any easy software out there that can help me, I need nothing fancy just the ability to add pickies and edit links etc when I wish.

My website at the moment is www.isleofmanphotographs.com

Any help is appreciated.

Kris

hi liberalis, try www.zoomshare.com, i have started building mine through them and its free, you can edit and add photos at any time, add links etc. for a freebie its ok, check my feeble effort out, but you get the picture. Neil

I agree, Dreamweaver is great and with a little practice it's very easy to use.

I really have no idea about web design etc but dreamweaver did make it relatively simple. Took a fair bit of trial and error but all of a sudden things just clicked into place and changes are now pretty easy.

i have to agree with the NVU suggestion.
I have been using it for years, its based on the mozilla suite app and is very good for begining or quick edits.
It'll kill your PHP mind.

looks like your gallery is a pbase gallery linked to from some webpages

you want a proper gallery that you control?

Cheers Guys, anyone wanna come over here and show me what to do ?

Matty, its only the motorsport bit that links to pbase, I did that because thats the only bit I know how to update, lol. But yeah, I would like to be able to control everything.

gallery and coppermine are the most popular galleries, they can be customised to suit

Zen is ace, but requires coding knowledge

going to look at a couple of the links above too

Agree with Matty. The way forward is php software (like this forum it runs entirely on the web and is configured via your browser). I use copprmine which is good with lots of plugins which can be added to enhance functionality. All free (open licence) so won't hurt the pocket.

For general content check out Joomla, it is really ace!

Good luck mate.
