Mrs Nod has decided that she needs a webcam for zooming her classes rather than using the one built into the laptop (the lappy blocks her view of a couple of her students and she needs to be able to keep an eye on them all). My thought is that a zoom would be handy to give some flexibility to her positioning in the room (camera position is predetermined by a couple of pillars in the room - logical mounting points for it!) but we have no idea what to look for and (perhaps more importantly) what brands to avoid. Currently looking at a Logitec C922 Pro Stream on Amazon but that seems to flicker under artificial light (60fps and 50Hz...)

Any thoughts/suggestions? TIA!

from what I gather the camera, or in this case webcam, need to match the same Htz the room lighting uses to stop the flickering. Also the type of light in the room ie flourescent tube for example may need changing. just a couple of thoughts

Logitech seems to be a good brand, I am happy with mine and would buy the newer equivalent if it stopped working.

Sorry, didn't spot the replies earlier.

She ended up ordering the Logitech one and it seems to cope with the Hz difference, has the right FoV and a reasonable mic as well.

Thanks for the replies.
