Webby 52 Week 4 - Open

OK, here we go again. Bit of a struggle thinking of a project, then I spotted my Gerber Multi tool, which can open sooooo many tools! Found a nice textured back ground, set up two flash guns and a snoot, and started to experiment with angles and lighting. I tried to capture the feel of being in a cave or geological setting, and kept the lighting directional. Hope it works.

Nice idea...

The focus is a little soft on the top...maybe turn down the aperture some...

Also, I'd do bounce flash for diffuse it some to soften the shadows some....I think they're distracting....

Love your tool ,your idea & the colors of the stone especially the way you got the fossil in there. Maybe cropped a touch to tight at either side ?

The shadows make me think , as you suggested ,of being in a cave

Great shot ,now thinking cap on for week 5 !
