Not sure if anyone is likely to be interested but the National Trust for Scotland and the Glasgow Women's Library held this symposium in October 2020, and the proceedings have just been published as a special edition of the journal "Studies in Photography".

The National Trust for Scotland have a large archive of photographs and this is their second symposium. The first, in 2019 was on "The camera , Colonialism and Social Networks" . Proceedings for this one are now sold out (actually it's referred to as being "sold out" and "out of stock" depending where you look).

The current volume is 118 pages of actual content and is £10 plus £3.00 p&p. It's well printed, with many photographs, and although it has a distinctive Scottish flavour, the focus is on women and it should be of interest beyond Scotland. It isn't all "really" old historical stuff, e.g. there are eleven pages from Bruce Davidson's visit to Scotland in the 1960s and there is some discussion about current photography. The style of writing for the journal tends to be little academic (from art curators, university lecturers etc, as well as photographer), but I always find them very readable.

More details, including the contents page and some photographs is here:

I realise this reads a bit, like an advert, but other than being a member of both the SSHoP (Scottish Society for the History of Photography) who publish the journal, and the National Trust for Scotland I have no connection with the publication, and I suspect it isn't that well known, hence me posting.
