Started up iphoto today to load some photos in. Dumb piece of junk then proceeded to DELETE several flickr sets without permission! I can't turn off the delete allowance as it stops the whole process. WHAT FLAMING MORON PROGRAMMED THIS TURD??
I can't believe it has done this. I now have to spend ages re-doing the sets it has totally cocked up. You can't stop it either. There isn't a 'don't you bleeding dare' button!
I can only think they have changed the way the UI operates so that if you remove something from an album it deletes it entirely. This of course makes the point of having albums completely pointless! It has never behaved this way before. Right click and trash in an album removes the photo from the album. If you do it in the photos section it then deletes it. Simple to understand. But apparently it isn't for apple that would rather delete that photo from your library then unilaterally remove it from flickr. Buggering you if you have been using flickr as a back up in the process! The dialog that pops up has no cancel. It's just ok. It is NOT FLIPPING OK. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING!
I'm fizzing with irritation at this. It is p poor programming practice to just change how a UI works after it being the same for AGES.
If you went on to empty trash because you hadn't realised how cretinous it had become you'd lose your photos FOR GOOD.
I thought it should serve as a warning for anyone using iphoto with flickr. I suspect that aperture will shortly be ruined in the same way. Thank god I had photostream on and I had also left the latest images on the camera otherwise I may have lost the lot due to this stupid software.
