I have suffered quiet a bit with poor circulation problems since last years heart failure , leading to cold hands and very cold feet .. I never had the problem before .. but the wife has come up with a couple of cheap items that to my surprise are better than expected . Feet first B&M stores do thermal socks for £2.99 a pair work a treat ,first time out today in the freezing cold on beach and cliff tops feet like toast ...

Next hands ,the subject of photography gloves and the relevant usage has often come up on here and rest assured over the years I have spent a small fortune trying to find some that not only keep me warm but also allow me to control the camera .. well try these at primark in the men’s section they do stretch gloves for a £1 they look like children’s gloves but really stretch to fit even my big mutt hands . Easy control of camera settings and hands as warm as toast .

I can only post advise as I find it and both these items work well . Worth a try imho

Just been to primark to get some more of them stretch gloves . The wife actually made a mistake there 2 pairs for a £1 .. wore them all day yesterday in the cold work well

I tend to over heat, if I wear hat and gloves, I come back soaking with sweat, even in freezing weather.

Aldi currently doing neoprene fishing gloves with fold back finger and thumb ends. £4.99. I believe Boyes stores also sell them.

And they leave your fingertips exposed to the cold and are also unwieldy for use with a camera , believe me over the years I have tried loads of different types looking for something that really works and still allow you to use the camera . The wife got me these for a joke but amazingly they really are perfect keep your hands warm and still allow use of the camera ,for 50p a pair . But feel free to spend 10 times more it’s your money .

Think I’ll try p***ing into the wind it’s easier ‍♂️

considering it’s his money you seem quite offended at how he wants to spend it.

Well you weren’t very helpful. Who or what are “B&M stores”. Google leads me to a store of that name but they don’t sell thermal socks . Just trying to help ;)

there all over the country

Must be a different store, this is where it took me https://www.bandmretail.com/ and the search result was:
“There are 0 result for Thermal socks
No Search result Found.”

Just goes to show something ... I’ve never heard or seen them :(

Back to thermal socks, I’ve bought a lot of the “HeatHolders” and think they are rubbish. They are warm but the toe shaping is terrible, they have a ‘rubber band’ round the top that cuts in, and they last about 3 weeks before wearing out. :( . I’ve gone back to HJ Hall soft top, loop pile, woollen socks and find them just as warm.

Do you use pocket warmers Jeff? I don't need them but Mrs WW feels the cold and they seem to last ages once activated.

Funnily enough I bought some the other day in sports direct ,gel packet ones that you can re.use cost me all of £2.49 for two ... not yet had to use the in anger though

Touchy! (pun intended) lol. Only trying to offer alternative advice as someone mentioned these on another forum. I haven't spent any money (yet). No offence taken though.

My fingers go white and get very painful in the cold - I think I have Raynauds. The best solution I've found is to shove pocket warmers into the backs of my cheap "leather" gloves; I can use the camera pretty well and it keeps my fingers acceptably warm (albeit my actual hands are roasting hot!) For my feet, neoprene wellies and thick thermal welly socks work great for me.

Hot Hands and Hot Feet one use warmers are excellent, last for at least five hours.
Suffered from Raynauds for years and these are about the only thing that keeps it at bay
Doesn't even have to be that cold before my digits turn White, at least one toe has frost damage
Tried all sorts, double layers for hands and feet are a must, thin silk gloves make good liners.
