Warehouseexpress - 5D Mark II - Place on Backorder

Hi Guys!

Just bought a 5D mark II from Warehouseexpress.co.uk. I ordered it last Thursday night and at that time it was in stock. I just got a mail today that it's not currectly in stock but "Place on Backorder".

Do any of you how the accessibility if for the shops? How long do you think it will take for them to get it in stock again?
I need the camera in 2-3 weeks, do you think it will be available before that? Some experience with warehouseexpress?
 
Warehouse Express are a decent firm and I've bought quite high value items from them in the past. But they do seem to have problems knowing what's in stock! Well at least on the website they do.

I always make it a rule to telephone rather than buy online from them. They're very helpful and they'll tell you a more accurate stock position. It's probably worth a call about your problem too, they should know when they're expecting another delivery.
 
I would agree with wegotit, give WE a call and ask them when they expect stock, I've seen them in the windows of 2 local high street stores this week so I don't think they are in too much of a short supply.
 
Actually, only last week I was buying a rather expensive filter and their web site stated that they're out of stock. I gave them a call, and magically, they had a few in stock :shrug:

Seems that their website refresh rate isn't that quick! ?!

As has been said, give them a call. They are excellent to deal with.

But everything solved out. They were very friendly and got one in stock already 2 days after I complained. Definitetly not the last time I buy from them!
