Wanted- Portable Lighting Kit

Hi - can anyone suggest a good quality studio/lighting kit. i have done studio photography before and would like my own mini kit to set up at home for children shoots and to take to various locations for interior shots etc. my budget is up to £500 and my camera equipment is Nikon.
Ive been doing photography for a few years now and i am being asked to take more and more pictures but im struggling with lighting indoors. any advice or tips on how to move forward would be most welcome?
Also im reluctant to buy from e-bay these days so any other supplier recommendations would be good too.

The Elinchrom D-Lite 2 comes highly recommended for around £400.

There is a thread running here at the moment having a good debate on these.

The Lencarta 300 kit is good, mine came with carry bags for both the heads and the stands. I'm doing a shoot at a mates house in a couple of weeks...
