Want to record from CD to my Macbook.

Since putting my Hifi back together I have rediscovered some of my old CD's that I don't have as MP3's. I want to put them on my iPhone so I can play them in the car. Should I look for a CD/DVD drive that plugs into my MBP or is there another wy of doing this?

I’d just get a cheap drive. You can get one for a tenner or so.

Get a cheap CD/DVD drive and download Handbrake software to read and convert the files.

I bought a cheap CD drive for my Mac Mini last year. It was fine for most discs but returned errors on some that were probably less than perfect. I then bought a slightly more expensive one from Hitachi which seems to be capable of reading any CD.

I don’t think EAC works on Macs, but there are alternatives.

Perhaps use a format with better sound quality than MP3?
