Isn't it just the worst thing ever!? And when it comes to photographic gear it's even worse.. I used to be obsessed with Bird photography but when I went to my 1D MKII the 1.3 crop and a 70-200mm f/2.8 wasn't enough even with a TC.. So my birthday just passed and I spotted a poor condition 100-300 f/4 on mpb and thought A) It'll be good for bright daytime sports and B) when fitted with a 1.4x it'll be 420mm :love:..

I bought it and still delighted with the price.. Ordered it Tuesday morning being shipped by courier and it's meant to be here today..

But still I wait in the hope I'm going to get a call this in the next two and a half hours but as the clock get's nearer to six my hopes are fading :(

Isn't waiting for new( used, but new to me ) equipment the worst thing ever!?

Sadly it didn't arrive today.. But hopefully tomorrow! I find it very hard to do anything as A) My home phone is unreliable and B) The nearest depot to me is at least 60 miles away! So it's either it comes by courier of I have to wait for the next trip to my house :cuckoo:

Should be here tomorrow though :D
 
When you said the lens was in poor condition I hope you just meant cosmetically.

Yep, Seems like how my 70-200 was when I got it, And its in pwo..There was a mention of a small scratch on the front optic but it doesn't affect image quaility!
 
i almost bought that to sell on.... I've never had a problem with MPB, hope you don't
 
Nope, not here yet :( It turns out there was an error made and the person on the phone in MPB quoted me the wrong delivery time!(You may of seen my rant) Any who all's resolved and MPB were more than helpful when I sent them an email, Should have it in my hands Monday I hope :)

I never knew that the UK track and trace works here, But I've just searched my parcel and it say:
ON ROUTE TO CUSTOMER LISTOWEL CO KERRY 26-Apr-10
But the post has just been :gag:

Turns out my neighbors got it, But I'm absolutely delighted with it! The lens is in much better condition that I expected and optically it's perfect, I've paired it with my 1.4 TC and now can't wait to shoot some sports :D
