I'm new to the Wacom Intuos Pro tablet and only use it for a couple of hours most days.

Is it OK to leave the tablet plugged into a USB port and turned on all day? In fact, apart from unplugging the USB, I'm not even sure how to turn the tablet off. I know the button on the side is for turning Blue Tooth on and off but not the main power.

I've got the standard Intuos, not the pro, and its power switch only came with the wifi kit I gave it a while back (couldn't be doing with the usb cable - it exited the wrong side of the tablet for my desk setup). I'm sure before going wifi it was permanently on. There's no reason why it shouldn't be. Without the wifi kit (which does have a rechargable battery) it's no different to a wired mouse.

I used to have the Wacom Bamboo before and really like this one. It's also made me start using a lot of the short cut keys in Lightroom and Photoshop.

I am just being lazy to learn using it. Don't do any photoshop stuff, mainly LR but prefer the magic mouse.

I've used a tablet for more years than I care to remember. I use it in pp (PaintShop Pro) for selecting, masking etc. It's so much easier than using a mouse. But mainly I use it for digital drawing. I switch between mouse and tablet depending on which is easiest to use. I don't use short cut keys as I use them a lot in Excel and would never be able to remember the keys for more than one appkication. I can if need be use the pen in my right hand and the mouse in my left.................. but usually I don't.
