Hi all

I was using the PC fine yesterday morning and booted again in the later afternoon.....................to be greeted by this error message WHEA uncorrectable error

Initially tried rebooting and on the 2nd attempt it got to the desktop :phew:

I Googled etc for the possible cause and it transpires this is a catchall for a variety of hardware & software triggers :thinking:

However, I learned that the last (most recent Win update) KB4560960 has issues affecting printers.................but I did not notice any such problems and it was installed on the 10th July. As a precaution I uninstalled it. But now it has downloaded again and awaits installation :-

I have scheduled it as well hiding it using the MS Troubleshooter tool ;)

I need to find out how find the error log that the BSD generated, maybe more of a clue in there that is unrelated to this possible ill behaved KB update??

Any insights, much appreciated :)

PS looking at the Event Viewer System log and the "Errors" there................at the timings (approx) when I got the BSD there is specific mention of HP Laser Jet Terminated unexpectedly and also Unable to start DCOM Server HP Printer Control.

So on the face of it it is associated with the HP mono laser printer ~ but is the MS KB update or another underlying 'problem'???

PPS the Bug check code was 0x00000124 and that points to a hardware issue.
