Had my VW Golf Mk4 for some years now and always had it dealer maintained for 100% warranty purposes.

Now the warranty has finally run out so I service my car myself, Easy bit is done..;)

I can't get the Service warning light on the dashboard to reset, I have done a google search and 100% know that its a couple of tweaks on the trip meter with a combination of the ignition key off/on in a sequence of some sort because the last time it was serviced at the main dealer I saw the mechanic do it in front of me...

Thanks..:)

1. Push and hold the odometer button.
2. Turn on ignition.
3. Turn digital clock button clockwise, and choose service to reset.
4. Turn off ignition.
5. Mail in ten dollars.

I thought you had a diesel ?

:D

It is a diesel, What difference does that make..
