According to one Microsoft Knowledge Base article, "When you edit the properties of a photo to add metadata to that photo in Windows Vista, the software for the digital camera may no longer recognize the metadata that is automatically added to the photo by the digital camera."

Basically if you set the metadata in Photoshop or iView and then edit in Vista, it'll make it unreadable in Photoshop. Nicely done there.

Is anyone really surprised? Just another day in MS paradise/pergatory.
Thank you Bill (Max Carver)Gates.

here's how I see what MS have done with Vista;
for want of a better analogy Apple design the ipod 1.0, its pretty chunky but does the business. a year or so later they release a smaller better machine, colour screen, more memory - the works. so, big gets smaller but stays great. its an accident I chose apple as I could have chosen virtually any other advancing company.
Here's how they'd do it at M$; take an iPod...and build it up into a massive hi-fi, 20 inch speakers and huge deck system. well, great but it doesn't fit in my pocket and it also requires that I re-wire my house...£££
a triumph for progressive technology.

...um, what am I missing?
