I have a desktop running Vista, I back up all my files regularly onto an external HDD and onto my laptop which is also backed up to another external HDD . The laptop is running W7 and I also run a System Image now and then but Vista Home Premium does not have that option.
My queries are:
1. Which 3rd party System Image software, preferably free
, would you recommend for Vista Home Premium. I have seen good reviews for Macrium Reflect Free? but there are quite a few out there.
2. If I do create an Image can I save it to the same external HDD that I use for file backup?
3. I assume that having a System Image will mean that in the event of a problem I will not have the bother of re-loading Vista followed by all the updates? I just recover everything from the Image and then load any files that need updating?
