virtual copy in Lightroom?

When you create a virtual copy in lightroom, where does it appear?

I know it should be to the rhs of the master, but I can't see a thing....

Thanks Pete; I'd tried that but it didn't work.

I had to go to Catalogue -> show all photos.

A virtual copy should appear next to the original with a "turned up corner" symbol.

Are you adding the virtual copy from within a selection. This may be the reason it's not being seen as it's not part of the original selection. Although mine show up when added as part of the "Quick Selection" option

I had imported the image so it was the only one available.

I must say I find the catalogueing "functions" of lightroom incredibly and unnecessarily complex....
