Vinyl Grey Background help.

Hi all,

Anyone ever used this stuff for headshot backdrops? Its cheap, especially when compared to websites selling it on larger rolls which I dont need.

It looks a fairly dark grey but the back looks a lighter shade of grey so have two options with it.

No. But I just bought a roll of Bessel grey vinyl. 90 cm wide by 3 metres long cost me 15 quid + delivery off of eBay.

Very nice stuff. Been playing with it today and it works great. Only 440 gsm so not super heavyweight but it will do for a couple of months work.

BTW the backing on that leatherette is usually a soft cottony type material. Might be quite cool. I suspect it will absorb light a little.

Brand new direct from Bessel.

Arrived VERY well packaged - on a cardboard tube and inside a heavy poster tube. I took a punt because I didn't need it to be that good but I was impressed.

In all honesty you can use whatever comes to hand and is cheap - IMO people spend far too much time agonizing over backgrounds and not enough time on the getting the subject right...

Half width colorama (1.35m) tu can *just* get away with for two people not full length... 90cm no chance
