Views on the Crumpler Muffin Top 1/2 backpack?

Does anyone have one of these, what are your opinions of it?

I'd be hoping to use it to carry a 500D plus 18-55mm lens on a weekend (plus some bits and bobs) and as a replacement for my current messenger bag I use for work during the week.

For work I usually carry a half ream of paper equivalent in documents, a bit of food, keys, etc - the usual sort of stuff really.
 
Its probably too big for what your carrying camera wise and I'm not sure the other section will be big enough to fit a4 pages in there without bending especially not if its in a binder or folder. Best advise would be to pop in to the Manchester store and try the bag out for yourself or find another place more local to you so you can try it, they have no problems you takeing whatever in and trying the bag out for size.
