New computer, HP P6-2029UK, Windows 7, the old XP one is struggling, its having software issues so I'm told? . . . strange that, I'm getting on a bit and struggling? . . . getting very confuse with the new fangled things on offer I am to, no one is offereing me a fix:shrug:

I need reassuring? One is used to a VGA screen, it seems this is now getting old hat? The new computer is outputting HDMI, my HPw2216 screen has an HDMI connection and VGA.

Is HDMI going to affect my picture quality on screen? . . . should one insist on a VGA output? or is HDMI a good thing, I should be going with the flow?

I will be upgrading from 'Ev.7' to 'PS Elements 8' as well, runs on Windows 7.

Thanks from very confused . . . CJS

HDMI is a good thing. VGA is analogue, HDMI digital. HDMI should give better definition to small details. You need to set the resolution out to the same as the HDMI screen is in mind you otherwise something has to resample the digital signal and it will look more blurry.
