I got married 22 years ago and recently dug out our old video of the event, only to find our video player had died. Being a romantic sort I wanted to get a copy that we could watch for my wife as a Christmas present.
A lot of research pointed me towards a company called vinyltodigital.co.uk - as their name suggests they do more than just videos - their name may give a clue or two. I also contacted a few local companies to see if they could help, as I was reluctant to send off my precious tape for fear of it getting lost in the post - some didn't bother to reply, but one did, although even they didn't offer an in house service and I would need to drive 26 miles each way to get to them.

An email to vinyltodigital, sent off late one evening (I think it was a Sunday) got an almost immediate reply and the following emails made me feel that these were good guys, so I took the plunge and sent my tape off RMSD.
I got an email to let me know when my tape had arrived, another to let me know how things were going and yet another when it was sent off ( I also had one to let me know my tape was longer than usual so what did I want to do)
Today my tape and dvd's arrived back and I am totally happy with the service they offer so figured it worth posting to let anyone else who is thinking of doing a similar sort of thing about these guys - they get a massive thumbs up and thanks from me - I am in no way linked to them, but do like good service and getting a job done properly.
They cannot perform miracles so the images are as blurry as they were to start with but I know my wife will have a few tears come Christmas day, but mainly when she see's just how much younger she looked then....
