Video Editing Software

Hi

I didn't know where to post this, so hope it's OK here. My 13 yeard old son is into making short films with his video camera, and he'd like to get some good editing software. He currently uses Windows Movie Maker.

Has anyone used any programs that they would recommend - not too expensive please !!

The only programme I know of is Sony Vegas - its suppost to be pretty good and not to expensive

Thanks James. I've just been mooching about on a video forum and Vegas seems to be well regarded.

I would say Vegas would be your best bet. There is lots of others but vegas is a fairly competant program. Personally im more a fan of Adobe Premiere and After Effects used together but that would be getting a fair bit more complex and into the more sfx side of things.
