video editing for gopro

I now am the proud owner of a GoPro... but i cant believe it didnt come with a simple video editing software!!! Anything out there thats good?? and can do hd and maybe add affects???

If you're Mac; iLife comes with iMovie.. newest version is fantastic. or FCPX if you can afford it. Best VE software on Mac IMPO and also available for the market.

If you're PC; Sony Vegas?

If you fancy a free top-of-the-range editor, have a look at Lightworks.

If you have a Mac, then use iMovie or whatever it's called. On Windows then use Movie Maker. Both are free, both can encode 1080p. Don't add stupid effects, titles etc to the videos, people will just close them straight away.
