Hi all, I'm off to university next week to study documentary film and television production. I've just upgraded to a 60d for video capabilities. I have around £600 to spend on glass but I'm really struggling to decide!

My current lenses:
50mm 1.8
Tamron 17-50 2.8

I had been considering the 25-105 for the IS however I already have that focal length covered. Would some more primes be suitable? Thanks in advance!

This might be a stupid question, but why are you trying to second-guess - and why are you asking *us* to try to second-guess - what will happen when you get into your course?

Your tutors will have views on what gear will be useful for the course. The college should have at least some equipment which you can borrow. So keep that £600 in your wallet until you know what you need.

You are more likely to need microphones, audio recorder, tripod, booms, steadicam and other stuff before overloading with glass

Your university will have loads of equipment you can book out from their stores. I wouldn't buy anything at the moment until you know exactly what you will need to complete your modules. I finished my FdSc in Film & Television Production without having to buy anything apart from some portable LED lights.
