Hi, can someone let me know what's the cheapest way to get from Victoria Station to Euston?

Much appreciated.
 
tube for the ease tbh - dont want to get lost - it wont be worth the saving!
 
London Underground Victoria Line from Victoria to Euston, it's only about 4 or 5 stops iirc.

I'll need to go to Euston in the morning and back to the Victoria in the evening. The tube is what? £6 for a day pass? Holy hell, I know London is expensive, but £6 to travel 2 hours walking distance?
 
It's a bit more than an hour to walk each way, with all due respect to Google.

Anyways, take your camera along .. there is plenty to shoot all over London that a lifetime wouldn't be enough. Taking the tube will give you plenty of opportunities to try something new & fun. It's £6 well worth every pennie spent.

If you get an Oyster card and both stations are in zone 1 (which they are) its only £1.50 each way if you use the prepayment option rather than the travelcard (which covers all journeys plus buses for a day). Travelcard is better if you are going to do some sightseeing though.

For an oyster card this should give you a fair bit of info, they cost £3.00 if you are using them for prepay but if you use them more than one day you will save £'s.

Prepayment is where you put something like £5 on the card and it is used for individual journeys, so if you know that all you are doing is going from Euston to Victoria, and back again it will cost £1.50 each way so total £3.00

A travelcard will allow you unlimited travel (within the zone(s) you got it for) on tubes and buses so if you are going to be going all over the place the sum of the individual journeys will come to more than the cost of the travelcard. Its just a case of working out the cheapest option, if you are just going from a to b and back then prepay is cheaper, if you need a bus as well or are moving around travelcard is cheaper.

Prices are about 50% cheaper if you have an Oyster card, so although it does cost £3 to get one if you go to London regularly its well worth it.

Thank you, both, for the link and feedback. It's always a wonderful feeling to be able to save ££ here and there.

Transportation in London isn't exactly cheap; I used to take the Taxi almost always, but while there yesterday I thought of taking the Tube and what fun that was. Haven't used it since I was a child .. brought back lots of fond memories, saved me a whole lot of ££ on taxi fares .. and made me relive my childhood moments.

I will certainly look into the Oyster card :)

Thanks for the advice. It looks like if I can use a free bus card I have to get to London, I'll get the oyster card and take the tube to Euston. That'll cost £6 (£3 for the deposit, £3 for the return trip).

If I can't get use out of my bus card, I'll take the train directly from Oxford to Euston, which should cost 2 x £7.
 
If you're a student, always ask if you can get student's discount ... can make a bit of a difference.
