Venus above moon Tonight! - Go grab some celestial shots!

Hey all!

just seen the moon with venus above it and thought I ought to let you guys with 'massive lenses' know so you can go out and grab some amazing shots of it! I would love to see some close up!

It is already really bright!

It's not going to happen in Central Scotland, I've just got home from a walk in the local hills and there is very heavy cloud cover, shame as I'd liked to have seen this.

I spy-ed that tonight at 7.30pm, just before i was picked up to go for a meal, seeing Venus perched above the Moon and shinning so brightly made a real impact.

I got one. I'd hoped to get a couple later on, when the moon moved between us and Venus, but the clouds had other ideas

I know. I'd hoped to get the conjunction, showing the moon moving in front of Venus and Venus coming out from behind it again, but that was not to be, the clouds had other ideas.

No clouds, seems a bit chilly, but I can't seem to see damn Venus!

Great spot guys! Was annoyed - I was working on a show so I didnt have my long lens with me to grab some shots with!

It looks like you've focused on the twig in the foreground, which means the moon and venus are blurred. But you've caught some interesting effects in the clouds.
